How does Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy work?
Our nervous systems respond to the people and environments around us. You may have noticed that being near a calm, grounded person helps you feel more settled. This process is often called co-regulation.
During Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, I create a quiet and supportive environment where your body can slow down. Through gentle touch and careful attention, I listen to the subtle rhythms, sensations, and changes within your body.
I do not force change or try to make your body respond in a particular way. I follow your body’s pace and support its natural movement toward greater regulation, balance, and ease.
What happens during a BCST session?
We begin with a conversation about what you are experiencing and what you would like support with. You will remain fully clothed and usually lie on a comfortable massage table.
Before making contact, I will ask for your permission and make sure the touch feels comfortable. Craniosacral therapy uses very light touch, often at the head, spine, sacrum, or feet. I may also incorporate breath, movement, conversation, or other gentle bodywork based on your needs.
Throughout the session, I may ask what you notice in your body. You can talk, remain quiet, change positions, or ask me to adjust or stop the touch at any time. Your comfort and sense of safety guide the session.
What Might I Experience?
Every session is different. You may:
Relax deeply or fall asleep
Enter a quiet or meditative state
Notice warmth, softening, movement, or spaciousness
Become aware of emotions, memories, or insights
Feel more connected to your breath and body
If strong sensations or emotions arise, I will help you stay grounded and present without rushing the experience.
Afterward, you may feel rested, energized, more comfortable in your body, or more aware of your physical and emotional state. Some effects may be noticeable immediately, while others may unfold gradually over the following days.
